Your item has now been created in the database and this window shows the Item's Detail window. You can move straight on to create another item by selecting "Create New Item" from the menu on the left or you can stay with this item and view/edit the item's details. If you didn't enter a location or quantity you'll see that default values have been entered automatically.

Across the centre of the window you can see a number of tabs. Your version of the software may have fewer (or more) tabs. Click each of these tabs and you'll see, behind each one, another smaller window giving additional information related to this item. If you've just created this item then you'd expect the information behind each tab to be empty. If you wish you can write into the 'Comments' box and change the location or quantity. (ignore the other tabs, we'll come back to them later) The Category is explained in more detail on the next page.

Important: If you make changes click the [Save] button near the bottom otherwise your changes won't be saved.
