Shipping/Despatch of goods to customers is tied to the customer order module. You can only ship goods if a customer order exists.

The quickest way to get to the shipping module is via the Customers Order as explained in the previous section. When viewing the customer's order click the large "Shipping" button and the display changes slightly as shown in the above example. (A Ship Now column has appeared).

Here you can say how many of which items you wish to ship. If any had already been delivered to the customer that would be shown in the "Shipped" column. By default the "Ship Now" quantity is pre-set to the quantity remaining.

In the case of our example we've decided to adjust some of the quantities. Maybe we don't have enough items available so we'll ship what we can now and ship the rest later.

When you've finished adjusting the quantities you can enter shipping reference (If you wish) and click the 'OK' button to post your transaction to the database (The inventory quantities in your database will be reduced by the quantities you're shipping) You can then print the document for your records or to attach to the package to send to the customer.
